COMPANY HISTORY

The partners Edgar Buzato and Paulo Von Zubem founded Kronos Refractory Industry Ltda in 1962, in Campinas. The company was responsible for manufacturing and supplying refractory products to ceramic and siderurgic industries.

In November 1972, the company was sold to the current partners: Antonio Carlos Trevisan, Hélio Trevisan and Arturo Gabrieloni. The new owners recognized new market opportunities and had a unit of abrasive tools built, changing the registered name to Kronos Refractory and Abrasive Industry Ltda.

In July 1978, the company was transferred to the Industrial District in Valinhos, its own head officer.

In 1990, the partner Arturo Gabrieloni decided to disconnect from the company, leaving the two brothers as owners. That same year the partners, aiming to meet the market needs, decided to increase the company and started building a new factory in the Industrial District in Vinhedo.

The opening of the new company, more modern and competitive, took place in September 1994, in 20,000m² land and an area of 5,300 m² built.

In 2002, the product line of refractory products was excluded because of low profitability. After that the company had to change their social ledger to Kronos.
